Facebook denied claims of a deal between Trump and Zuckerberg for preferential treatment on the platform. Former Reddit CEO Ellen Pao shared her thoughts on why Facebook can’t beat hate.

Twitter continued dealing with fallout regarding the hack that exposed 36 high-profile verified accounts, admitting their DMs had been accessed. Twitter also saw an ad revenue drop, as they continue teasing a subscription service.

TikTok continues battling headlines of being banned in the U.S., though they’ve announced their intention to hire 10K U.S. staff despite being at risk.

Snapchat reported their Q2 data, users climbed 17% though their stock dropped as investors hoped for a bigger lift.
