Quite a busy news week for TikTok. Trump signed an executive order that effectively bans the use of the app in the U.S…and in response, TikTok plans to sue the Trump administration as soon as Tuesday. Microsoft also made the news as they’ve been in talks to acquire the app.
Instagram finally released Reels in all markets, in an attempt to take on TikTok. Snapchat also released a TikTok-like music feature as well.
Twitter has begun labeling state-controlled news accounts in an attempt to fight misinformation. Facebook banned one of the largest QAnon groups for violating harassment and hate speech policies.
