This week we’ve seen Facebook lose $60 billion in market value due to advertisers like Starbucks and Pepsi halting social media advertising. India banned TIkTok and dozens of other Chinese apps, with speculation TikTok could see $6 billion in losses. We saw major YouTubers like Jenna Marbles and Shane Dawson acknowledge past questionable content with different approaches, resulting in all Shane Dawson channels being completely demonetized. YouTube also issued bans for hate speech on Stefan Molyneux, David Duke, Richard Spencer, and more. Reddit also implemented bans on over 2000 sub-reddits for hate speech, including r/The_Donald and r/ChapoTrapHouse. As for Instagram, they appear to be testing a “see all stories” feature!
